We are presently considering and negotiating to stock the following franchises:

  • Gold Tone Banjos
  • Sierra Steel Guitars
  • Carter Steel Guitars If you have any interest in these or any other brand you do not see listed please contact us. Your inquiry may be the push we need to stock these items.

You may have been directed here because you did a search on our site for one of the above items. Although you may not have found it on our page, it doesn't mean we don't have it. We have quite a few used items that may fit your needs or description. If you didn't find it on our pages please email us and ask about it. It also may be possible that it is a franchised item that we are working on. We are very careful not to mislead anyone into thinking we have franchises for items we are not authorized dealers for. If you ask us for an item we don't have, we will try to get it for you. If we cannot get it for you at a competitive price or should it limit your warranty, we will direct you to one of our associates who can help you.

    WARNING!!!!!!!

    FRANCHISES AND AUTHORIZED SALES

    What is a FRANCHISED DEALER

A franchised dealer is a dealer who has an agreement with a supplier to sell their product. The dealer is usually required to stock a representation of most of the manufacture's line and to have a good reputation. More popular brands tend to be very cautious of the reputation of their dealers and will cut off dealers who do not service the customer properly. A lot of brand named instruments and higher price items are FRANCHISED. That means only AUTHORIZED dealers are authorized by the manufacturers to sell. Dealers do not have to be franchised to be authorized.

    Why should you care

Should you buy an item from an unauthorized dealer there is a very good chance your item is considered used and not warrantied by the manufacturer. Some dealers may swap stock or obtain stock from each other in order to make a sale. While this is not necessarily illegal, it may be unethical and could lead to illegal claims.

How can you recognize an AUTHORISED dealer

First, know your dealer and his reputation. If you trust them ,you can just ask. Look on the floor. If you do not see a good representation of the brand item you are looking for it may be an indication the dealership does not have a franchise. Look for a sticker or plaque on the door, in the window, on or in a showcase or on the wall etc. You can go to the web site of the manufacturer and most will list dealers. A good word of caution is beware of the dealer that tells you they will fill out your warranty card for you. If you do not get a warranty card, ask or read your warranty instructions before you buy.
